Today, Nike seeks to renew its commitment to innovation by releasing a lightly modified version of its ubiquitous Tech Woven tracksuit. Don’t let the pictures fool you. This isn’t your parents’ Tech Fleece from 2014, this is the all new Nike Tech Woven Suit, featuring, in Nike’s words, “a modern, technical fit crafted with light, stretchy and breathable materials” (nylon, spandex, and polyester, to be more specific.)
Switching to nylon material will likely enhance wind and water resistance, compared to the standard Tech Fleece. The new jacket includes elastic “bungee cord” drawstrings around the hood and hem, while the pants sport zippered pockets on both sides and add zippered ankles in place of the traditional cuffs.

The new suit goes on sale today in black and off-white colorways at Nike.com and “select retailers.” Nike promises more colors to follow shortly, including an “ultra-reflective” variation – just when you thought the shiny suit era was finally gone for good.
Those who prefer the now decade-old tech fleece models will be reassured to learn that additional stock is now listed as “coming soon” on Nike.com in an assortment of familiar colorways.
So, what do you make of the 2024 iteration of Nike’s Tech Woven tracksuit? Is it a modern update on a timeless classic, or a stagnant brand running an old hit into the ground? Hoodie is very similar to the 2020-22 model but added the shoulder outline so it looks way better. Also similar to 2018-2019 model but with chevron.
$48
For sure not paying retail for any of this
I always washed mine in cold water inside out and used woolite dark defenses detergent and got good results with that.
It must cost Nike 3 cents more per hoody to put elastic cuffs on these things because I cannot figure out why they refuse to add them to the men’s line.
Saw the woven at JD Sports - seems okay - but certainly overpriced by minimum 50%. I would cop the pants for ~$40 maybe.
Nike Factory Store (Katy Mills) had tons of the latest TF but at $99 for jackets/$89 for pants then I see why it’s tons available.
Champs had a lot of the fleece for a 50% off in the clearance racks but it’ll go to 70% on Black Friday so I’ll just wait it out.
Nike steering people towards Uniqlo and other options by raising prices for cheaper quality.
I'm 5'8 and tried on a small and it still felt crazy oversized.
I thought these were at one point fitted?
Went XS and fit is absolutely garbage.
Felt like a garbage bag on it.
Sleeves were long. Stomach was puffy.
These aren’t a sleek fit at all. It feels like the style is baggy oversized.
If anyone knows where to find one other thank nike could you link your boy!?
Thanks!
any word on RD?
Nike Tech Men's Woven Flash Jacket
On the app now as coming soon. 11/1 release date.
The vibe I get
Got these in some older tech
Haven't seen the new jacket, but at least for the old Olympic Windrunner that was fully reflective if it got wet and you rubbed it to hard that wore off. Heck, over time it has flaked off. Still one of my favorite jackets of all time.
Did you ever wash it in the washing machine before the flaking started to happen? I always wondered if it was possible to be laundered. At this point, it's just a novelty item as if I put it on the flaking will commence.
Funny story. Last time I wore it I had sideline passes for a Monday Night game. I was wearing that jacket right after the Olympics and as I’m walking the sidelines during the game my buddy was like everyone is staring, pointing and taking pictures of you. Everyone thought I was some sort of Olympian. 😂 For the rest of that game I walked around like you couldn’t tell me ANYTHING.

Differences Between Heather Patterns
Difference between 1.0 and 2.0 is the pattern. 2.0 has more distinct lines while 1.0 is just standard heather. Only the SS 2014 had the 2.0 heathering. FW 2013 and FW 2014 use the 1.0 heather.
NOTE that the 1.0 and 2.0 usage is merely for the forums to understand which pattern we are referring do and NOT thickness of the fabric.
1mm v 3mm (3.0)?
1mm refers to the thickness. 1mm is the thinnest and most comfortable. 3mm is the thickest (and is present on the AW77 3.0 and the original N98). Most people do not like the 3mm and prefer the 1mm.

I have ten of the older TF windrunners, and I just purchased an updated version...
Here are some comparison pics...

One of the main differences... the side zipper pockets or lack thereof on the update

View media item 2235728
View media item 2235729Also notice that the new version has a curve, while the older one is straight
The next difference is the chevron. It's outlined and more pronounced in the update.

Pull tabs and drawstrings: Older one has reflective hits (some of the older OGs have solid drawstrings), while the update has solid drawstrings and a rubber pull tab

The hoods also have different designs

Also regarding the hoods... the updated one has a two-color liner, while the OG has the same color

Sleeve ends are also different than the OGs

The update is more like a hybrid of the AW77 TF and the windrunner, as it has a "tail". All in all, I still prefer the OG because of the side pocket zippers and more subtle chevron.
Don't need reps, somebody just find me a great deal on some kinda flyknits in an 8.5 or 9 lol. Lunar chukkas, trainers, racers, lunar 1s or 3s
Once I dropped the $20 info the thread went nuts :lol thought I would've had crazy reps after all the info I was posting
Like most of the regular Nike clothes, they run larger than normal. I will stick with the size Large on the tops and bottoms.
I thought about sizing down in the hoodie to a Medium, just to see if I can get away with a tighter fit. I really like the Grey and Blue colors, so it will be a difficult decision. If they had made a Red color, I would have probably chosen that. The hoodie is really nice. If you are concerned about breathability, the under arm knit allows for a lot of ventilation.
The pants are interesting. They fit similar to regular Tech Fleece, but I am worried that these would stretch out after awhile. For the black pants, I would be careful washing them if you don't want them to fade in color. The Tech Knit fabric for the pants are a little weird. Nike chose to use the larger knit pattern instead of the smaller knit pattern. If you have seen photos of the shirts or hoodie, you can see the difference in knit type. I probably will keep the black pants or checkout the blue colorway once it hits retail Nike stores. Right now, I prefer Tech Fleece pants over these Tech Knit pants.
The Tech Knit shirts are similar sizing. Depending on the Nike collection, I will go between a Large or XL. On the Nike Running Dri Fit Knit, I generally wear a XL. In the Tech Knit, I will keep the Large. These shirts run longer than I expected. Not Yeezy Season clothing type of length, but about 1-2 inches longer than most other Nike shirts.
Of the Collection, in my opinion, the Hoodie and Shirts are keepers. I still am not sure about the pants, especially at the $200 retail price.
Obviously I would love it if these could be found in Outlets/Clearance Centers, but that wont happen until at least a few more months.
I can see Nike bringing out interesting colorways because of the Knit style they are using. Hopefully we see some bolder colors or patterns in the future.

Here is how it looks with the hood on and hood off of my 3-year-old Tech Fleece hoodie.
Quick pros and cons:
+ Surprisingly acceptable breathability with no air leaking
+ Very structured nose wire, no fogging whatsoever for my glasses.
+ True sizing for fit
+ Adequate room for optional layering
+/- Unique design
- Price
- Lack of filter pocket
- Not 3 layers
Based on measurement instructions, I measured between 4" to 4.125", and sizes Small and Medium fit both. I got both and tried on both. Initially, I felt the Small was perfect for fit, until I tried on a Medium. Medium is perfect for me because of the additional and necessary nose coverage.
- The design helps with breathability, but not sure if it's because it's so far away from my face (hence the +/- rating). The design is very unique and very Mortal Kombat-esque (see picture below). Notice the outward design that adds a bit more coverage on the cheeks.
- I have some leftover Outdoor Research face mask filters which can actually fit in there. There's no sleeve or adhesive for the mask, but I can say it's more than adequate for layering. Would've definitely like a filter pocket as an option. I know it's a performance mask, but still would've been nice.
Let me know if anyone would like some more on-face pictures to get a better idea of fit!
And then slight flex for shoes that could match with it
Tacky? Kinda. Dope? Hell yea.
Random to see it there since I think it dropped late 2016.
